Here is why the Indianapolis colts suck

Now we see the Colts sitting at a 1-4 spot currently in the NFL and in last place in the NFC south. Not too shocking seeing as we have a terrible team, but are we looking at the right things too put the blame on? I personally think not...

Lets start with the horrible wide receiver core that we have.

Who do you look at on the colts as a number two target? We all know and love the number one WR on the team T.Y. Hilton there's no doubting that. However, can you name me a player who has stayed on the colts for lets say four seasons to get past a rookie contract and stay as a main stay in the wide receiver core? No... you cant. Moncrief left after his third year and at the end of his rookie deal. Sure we brought in a couple of names in the past few years, but they haven't made a name for themselves in the colts locker room ( Andrea Johnson, Hakeem Nicks)

WE as colts fans are so fast to blame the offensive line for the faults in our offense. That's just how it's been for the past, let's say, six years now. If you've watched the draft as I have you can see they are making a solid attempt on fixing the offensive line, and seeing how Andrew Luck, off of a shoulder injury, is still slinging the football 30-50 times a game, and getting most of them off, I'd say that the o-line isn't to blame for this season.

Andrew luck clearly is getting the ball off to his receivers. He also has the attitude that it's no ones fault that they aren't winning other then his own. However, I think it's about time the team realizes that they are lacking in the key players and positions he needs to keep this team in a competitive state.

The colts have ZERO run game as well. Who are the running backs? Who's the starter? Who has the most reps, most rushes, or most receptions? What about most yards from scrimmage? The fact that the colts have had multiple running backs on the offense and a spotty run game at best doesn't help the passing offense at all, nor does it help the o-line argument. This is why the colts have to pass so frequently. With no running back who is reliable enough to take the helm and maybe, just maybe, be a threat to a defense to bring pressure off of luck and the passing game, including the play action offense, you'll see very little success on the offensive side of the ball to win an actual game.

Perhaps I'll dive deeper into the defensive side of the ball tomorrow for the colts. For now though, as a short summary and a quick little taste or teaser of sorts, I'm actually happy with the young defense I'm seeing out on the field. Stay tuned.

as always,

Yeet.
