Blues Adjustments Lead To First Win Of The Season.

After a couple of rough outings in their first few games, blues fan were foaming at the mouth for a win! I was fortunate enough to do some work this week at the Enterprise Center and see some of the drills the boys were running. Passing, 3 on 3 and rebounding on second chance opportunities were the main points of emphasis that I got to see.

Perron picks up his 4th Hat Trick

DP57 showing that the 3rd time’s the charm picking up 3 goals in his 3rd game back on the Blues for the 3rd time. Woah

Sterner and Edmundson also picked up goals in the 1st. Jake Allen saves 31 of the 34 goals he faced and kept the team in the game. In the case of Allen, he almost reminds me of Blake Bortles of the Saxonville Jaguars. He’s a guy that can get the job done when the team performs well around him, but we can’t count on him to carry the team on his back alone. In the breath I must say a lot of what I saw in the Blue’s practice this week showed in tonight’s game. Defense was stronger, passes were cleaner and we were aggressive in the offense zone. Picked up some nice rebounds and nice passes from behind the goal back into the crease.

The Blues are now 1-1-1 and head into their rivals home Saturday as they face off for the second time agains Towes and the Chicago Blackhawks. Lets home this momentum can steal us back a win on the road.
